Landscaping Project Update

Hello Millington, As you all have seen, we kicked off our landscaping project early due to the mild winter we have had this season. This is good news for the Millington because we have all but a handful of trees left to address. Once completed we will grind away any stumps; correct grading in 3 areas with seeding and straw. Then we will plant 15 trees before spring hits on Fishinger Mill and any other appropriate location that is not close to a build or lamp post that would potentially cause damage in the future as well as remove all empty beds back to grass. This year will be a year of growth and rejuvenation. We may call on you…

Did You Know – Small Game Edition

Hello Millington, Now that it is February is here and we have had warmer winter than expected the small game is starting their mating season early. As always make sure you do not feed them or leave any trash or food outside. That also includes compost piles and bird feeders. This will attract the small game and waterfowl to the community and any efforts the Millington or MROA does to get rid of them will be a wasted effort. By leaving food out in any food it can cause these animals to try to enter the building through the chimnies, A/C unit lines that enter the building and other small openings within the buildings. These repairs become costly and will…

Did you know???

Hello Millington, There has been an increasing amount of hot water tank issues within the community. Below are some facts about the hot water tanks. We highly recommend this if your tank is 10+ years old to have it inspected and possibly replaced. Your neighbors will love you for it! An Old Unit If your water heater is older, you can find its exact age by looking for the serial number on the manufacturer’s sticker near its top. The first two numbers usually represent the year, but these stickers can vary.
